"This is hands down one of the best resorts we have stayed in. I had to be extremely critical to find even one fault and I won’t do it because I think with service and design at this level - they are allowed to be human. From a design perspective - Labuan Bajo, both history and natural environment provided the perfect canvas for the resort’s architectural story and configuration to come alive. I can tell that someone (or everyone!) is paying extreme care in every surface, every light and every shrub. We’ve been to properties where you can tell, someone has decided to cut a corner at the tail end of the project - whether it’s because of time, cost or just out of cognitive exhaustion. But here - you can see the 150% in every design detail even in the most obscure ‘no one will notice’ places. This is attentive design at its best. This is one place where even professional photography could not fully capture the design ambition and intent.
The other 150% is met with an impeccable hospitality provided by everyone on the property - from the gardener to the manager, everyone knows your name. They are friendly but not intrusive, helpful not but overbearing, their capability to anticipate guests’ needs is off the charts. Seriously, I have not experienced this level of attentiveness before, even from the most renown hoteliers. This place is truly special. I’ve not ever rated any property 10 out of 10, but I would give this an 11 if I could!"
