"The lobby is a little misleading. The place looks so amazing from the outside and the lobby as well. The staff we encountered was very sweet but the rooms were incredibly dirty. The floors and the walls were honestly disgusting. I will upload photos if I could. The floors were carpet meant to look like hard wood and were insanely stained. "My stay at Santiago Guest House Kyoto was even better than I expected. The location is perfect, and the dorm setup gives you enough privacy while still feeling cozy and social. The guest house has everything you might need — washing machines, a comfortable common area, and a lovely café. But what really made the experience special were the owners — incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind. We even had an amazing karaoke night together and met wonderful people. The location is great, but it is barely enough equipped, not very clean, and there is no other way than to disturb the host to get in the house every time you come in. It could be a nice place to stay if the host improves it, but as it is, it is definitely not worth the price! "
