The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms and facilities were very clean and had a modern feel. There is a LUUP electric bike/scooter park on site which is great for getting to and from the local stations.

Everyone was super friendly, the futon style beds were very comfortable. Only 15 minute walk to the nearest station and some nice restaurants in the area. Only little thing is that the walls are thin so you can hear a lot, and the shared showers/toilets are in high demand in the morning.

El personal muy amable.Fue facil cominicarse en ingles. La habitación muy limpia y agradable. Los futones muy cómodos. La habitación tiene aire acondicionado y calefacción. Lo único regular fue la limpieza en el W.C pero se entiende debido a que los compartes con otros huéspedes.

We feel asleep well past our alarm the next morning. This summarizes our stay at Fujitaya: very clean, very comfortable, and an overall great stay. Both hosts were super accommodating and helpful. The property itself is in a quiet neighbourhood. Though it is not near train station, it is a short bus ride from Kyoto Station and a nearby local train station.

Well the front desk girls are very helpful, but there are some issues I concerned. They let tenants to wash dishes, then they just wipe them and put back for other tenants to use. They didn't require high heat, soap, eventually complete rinse to guaranty these utensils are cleaned, this could spread some disease. In the morning, the kitchen is so busy, you have to wait to wash your dishes, or wait for anything, if you need run, don't use their kitchen. The coffee is very bad. The breakfast is only provide banana, bread and rice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and concious about recycling, this was the first place we stayed in Japan that seemed to worry about spreading rubbish and recycling from each other.

Friendly staff who were helpful and accommodating
The staff were very accommodating and made sure that our stay was very easy. It was nice (but not expected) that they spoke good english. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I liked the fact that there were bicycles that were available for hire for a low cost, as it provided a locals way of transportation around the city. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable, clean place to stay. Hope to come back on my next visit to Kyoto :)

Fatastic place!

Amazing experience and interaction with the locals
I had an amazing time at Fujitaya BnB, where I had my only "real" interaction with Japanese people while visiting Japan. From my experience, Japanese people are quite shy and only speak limited English, yet the staff here could speak very well English, and were very kind and helpful. I especially enjoyed time in the shared "Japanese style" living room and kitchen where cooking and enjoying meals together with the personals and other guests was amazing. The BnB offers bike rental which is great for a city like Kyoto, Yoga activities and some other cultural activities such as Japanese cooking. So beside of the exploration of the beautiful city of Kyoto, there's plenty of activity in this place as well. As an extra bonus: If you have food restrictions, halal, vegan, vegetarian, then the kitchen will be very helpful. As a Muslim, it's often challenging to find halal food in Japan, and with the nearby supermarket, and extremely cheap yet fresh fish varieties, I could cook delicious meals each day. If I visit Kyoto again, I will definitely stay at this place again.

Amazing experience at Fujitaya
Our first family trip to Japan was amazing and this BnB was one of the best places we stayed at during our trip. The staff was wonderful and really appreciated the ability to use kitchen to cook our own dinner during our stay. Very convenient location with grocery stores nearby and easy access if you use the bus system to explore lots of great things in the area (Monkey Park, Itami Shrine, Railroad Museum, Aquarium, etc...). Our kids loved the yoga sessions and the staff and didn't want to leave.

A special Japanese coziness
It is better than expected - not at all like avarage B&B, very special place with its own atmosphere. Everything is very clean, with nice aroma, nice interior, thought into details. I loved it had Japanese style - no chairs, but couschons, WC with slippers, small lamps everywhere.. Very cozy and warm place!

Friendly staff in new hostel building
I really enjoyed my stay and the hire bikes were great - so convenient! Staff were super friendly and really helpful - taking the time to sit down and ask if I know my way around and what I would like to do during my stay. Having the common area just inside the entry and on the way to your room made the hostel feel really welcoming and social - the atmosphere and morning breakfasts were really nice :)

Nice stay and lovely staff
The B&B is brand new and the staff are so nice. We had some difficulties in finding the place but they speak English and they helped us on the phone. We had a very warm welcome and everytime we were in the kitchen/lounge room staff were happy to have conversation and to organise interesting activities with us.

Absolutely fabulous
Lovely way to experience Japan, close to both the central Kyoto and the surrounding hillsides. The rooms are lovely & the staff are very helpful would live there permanently if I could.

Although not near Kyoto station....
Fujiyama BnB has bus that goes to the various sightseeing location. Around the area there are 24hrs convenient store, supermarkets, Daiso and restaurants. Breakfast is good too. Enjoyed our stay there.

Clean and friendly place
The BnB has just opened, so everything was nice and new, they were even still working on some of it, which was fine, not noisy or anything. Futons were comfortable, great hot showers and good breakfast. Staff was extremely helpful and often went over and above. Bus stop close outside and all went to Kyoto Station in about 15 minutes. A few restaurants nearby and staff went over and above to accommodate my vegetarian needs. Two supermarkets close, too. BnB sent photos to navigate from train station, making it easy to find.

Clean, affordable and great staff!
Great affordable accommodation in Kyoto! I feel like we were some of the first people to stay at Fujitaya and we really enjoyed our stay here. The place is very new and well designed, was always so clean with wonderful, friendly staff. Free breakfast was also a nice touch. There isn't too much to see around the area of the BnB but it's fairly easy to catch a bus around Kyoto. Only issue for us was that because the building was still under construction, it was quite noisy in the mornings. Overall, would definitely stay here again!

トイレ、シャワー、洗面所が共用だったので、最初はびっくりしました。あとは部屋にロフトがあって、そこに1人寝たのですが、柵などが無くて怖かったです。 コンビニは近くにあって便利でした。

素泊まりで、朝早く出てしまったのでゆっくりできませんでしたが、お部屋、設備、場所も良いところでした。 ひとつ、トイレの近くに手洗い場がほしかったです。 後、女子トイレが空いてなかったので、共同に入りましたか、濡れていてがっかりしました。 その他は、満足できました。 また、利用できたらと思います。

Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps au Fujitaya BnB, nous avons reçu un accueil très chaleureux de la part des patrons et avons même échangé brièvement avec eux. Ce sont des personnes agréables, professionnelles et chaleureuses. Notre chambre était tout simplement parfaite, spacieuse, avec une literie très agréable. Les douches et WC sont très bien entretenus. Bref un séjour court mais parfait !
