"Our room was larger than our other Japanese hotel experiences. It was clean and so close to the station that it is impossible to miss. Convenient grocery and take away options nearby, as well as restaurants. I was visiting family in Ishiyama, one JR stop away, which was very convenient. "

"Oh my gosh I simply LOVED this hotel. Everything from walking in (the smell of this place is so amazing that I bought their signature scent!!) , the greenery and calming atmosphere, walkability to great sights and destinations, the staff, etc. We loved the bakery so much, fresh items daily. The rooms themselves were incredible, extremely spacious and comfortable. The slippers were so cozy! And we loved the water machine in the room in place of water bottles. Overall I just adored this hotel, I wish I could come back already! Highly highly recommend if you’re coming to Kyoto."
"We stayed for 5 nights after a trans pacific flight. Location was amazing - 15 minutes walking to 3 stops. The tea service in the afternoon was lovely. Wish we had done the Japanese breakfast option more. Beds we're comfortable and staff was friendly. Great bathroom amenities and black out blinds. Shower was fine. I would stay here again - easy transport everywhere."
"The hotel is superb la!!!
1. Parking very convenient next door
2. Location 100/100 to be next to Kyoto Tower, rented our Kimono there and walkable to beautiful temple and places!
3. The onsen is good too, I particularly like the one with ice neck rest, 10-20mins only.
4. BREAKFAST is the highest standard for Japanese breakfast! Has Sashimi and all options!
5. Evening supper 9-11pm Ramen is good too, hearty
Not so good part: abit tooooo crowded and packed and touristy, and the shoe area can stink quite abit tbh..

"We loved this hotel, and had a great 4 day stay in Kyoto. Very upscale and peaceful, in a quiet, non-touristy neighbourhood, with lots of convenient travel options. And we ended up in nearby underground jazz bar Zac Baran twice, as well as a tiny local restaurant about 15 minutes walk west, same side of street as hotel, called kawahigashi (it also says 'food and beverage' in English outside). We were the only people on a weeknight, with a single chef/server doing everything, and the food was phenomenal and reasonably priced."
"Room is very clean. Location is convienence. 10 mins walk to all the stores and restaurants. 8 mins to a subway stations. The problem with the hotel is “NO” drinking water in the room and the drinking water located at the dining area is limited to certain hour of the day.
