"The best thing this hotel has going for it is the view. Unfortunately, the rest falls short. The staff is not particularly friendly or helpful, and the property is currently undergoing renovations—likely because it hasn’t been updated in decades. The rooms are especially disappointing: dark, outdated carpeting, disintegrating curtains, and worn, unappealing bedspreads make the space feel neglected. While the manager, Amara, was lovely and did his best to assist, there’s only so much that can be done given the condition of the property. Housekeeping offers a voucher if you choose to skip service, but it’s provided somewhat reluctantly, which adds to the overall underwhelming experience."

"This was my first time travelling to London, and this hotel came highly recommended from a Facebook travel group - unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I was told they had my reservation but that it hadn’t been paid. Confused, I explained I would look for my receipt, but I was still asked for my credit card details, which is normal in Canada. However, I later discovered I was charged an additional $1,500. I was told Expedia had not paid the hotel, which ultimately left me caught in the middle of the issue. Both the hotel and Expedia showed no real accountability and responded that “this happens all the time,” which was very frustrating and unhelpful. Beyond the billing issue, the room itself was very small and not clean upon arrival, which added to the disappointment. On a positive note, the location was excellent, and the breakfast was genuinely enjoyable when items were stocked. Overall, based on my experience, I would not stay at this hotel again or recommend this chain in the future."

"Found a bedbug in our room on 5th day of our stay. My wife and I were very upset but the hotel general manager was only interested making excuses rather than comforting us. She also implied that we brought the bedbugs with us. We weren't offered another room as we might spread them but we were welcome to move to another hotel, they told us. This was quite late at night and we wanted our clothes washed before packing so we had to stay that night after getting the bed vacuumed. We were so distraught and disappointed that we decided to pack up and come back home. I highly doubt we will ever go back to London again. We had such a high expectation for this trip. They have only refunded for the nights we have not stayed and pointed out that it was a non-refundable booking as if leaving early was our fault. Unbelievable. "

"The room was incredible. It was clean with a great view of the London bridges and Big Ben. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was perfect and fresh."

"Very stressful to turn up, having booked months in advance to tell me my booking on the hotels.com app had been lost (‘failed to integrate’ apparently)! Not the calm check-in experience I hoped for pre-marathon day. Once a room was found for me, after a prolonged delay, the actual stay was very pleasant & the location perfect."

"Kept awake by maintenance hammering in the room above us to 11pm then woken up again to the sound of hammering and power tools at 8am in the morning. Room was not soundproof as we could hear people arguing in the room beside us. Hallway carpets covered in stains."

"The bath plug wasn’t functioning properly. None of the USB ports worked. Breakfast was very disappointing- all the food was barely warm & at a cost of £17.00 I expected at least for the food to be hot- won’t be having breakfast there again."
