"The location of this resort, right on the beach, just can't be beat. The pool is especially lovely and the restaurants were top notch. The rooms feel a bit older (ours had sort of a light musty odor) but I think that's from all the humidity. Our group of seven had a great experience staying here!"

"Kauai Shores Hotel was perfect! We loved the location and the staff was so friendly! We went for our honeymoon and they even gifted us Hawaiian chocolates! We loved that they offered complimentary yoga daily. It was such a great place to stay. There was also live music daily which was really nice. The only negative was the restaurant on the property wasn’t good at all, but there are a lot of great options nearby. We would definitely go back and stay there again!"

"This place was everything we needed, we loved the cozy atmosphere. The have live music three nights a week, tikis and other mood lighting, a decent light breakfast and even free rentals for snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrellas and boogie boards. "To start off the property didn’t have the room we reserved available upon checking in, they put us on a smaller room with a king bed and pullout sofa, keep in mind we had reserved two queen bed room. "An absolutely beautiful resort, with all the amenities and staff attention one can ask for while on vacation. Our villa was amazing! Everything was clean, plenty of towels and robes for the family, washer and dryer if needed, supplies for cooking, and a view that never disappoints!"

"The property is in a quiet area and the staff does a terrific job to keep everything clean and well maintained. Arriving late after a long flight, we were given excellent and helpful instructions on how to get into our room and were able to get a good night’s sleep! The air conditioning and ceiling fan definitely helped! Will definitely stay here again!"

"You have to pay 10 dollars per day for microwave use aside from the resort fee daily. It’s pretty expensive already then all these extra payments. The room was also basic. I guess you pay for the view and the location. The beach has wild waves good gor surfing but not much for swimming. If you have kids and want a lot of swimming without wild waves go to Royal Sonesta in Lihue or Princeville close to Hanalei Bay. "There's simply no reason to spend the money to stay here. There are many comparable hotels in Po'ipu or elsewhere on Kaua'i. It's the kind of place that's designed to extract every last dollar from you and provide only mediocrity in return. The coffee was particularly bad. "First room smelled horrible…front desk clerk sprayed the room…still horrible! I continued to complain, finally next day we were moved to another room. The property is well maintained and the remainder of our stay was nice but I felt we should have been offered a different room immediately after we complained about the smell in the first room, not the next day after complaining again."
