"Upon arrival we chose to upgrade to the Horizon club executive room. The executive room is situated at the top floor with a breathtaking view of Shanghai city. The breakfast in the lobby was very busy and food did not get replenished quickly enough due to the high volume of guests, unfortunately this resulted in dry cakes, pastries and dumplings. However the manager Cassie demonstrated professional hospitality when resolving our issue with the disappointing breakfast. The club service was minimal to non-existent on the first few days of our stay. (We made our drinks ourselves from the bar, staff were inattentive and relatively unprofessional) We raised this issue to Serena (evening duty manager), She promptly let the team know and the next day the service did improve significantly. We appreciated the efficiency of responding and resolving guests concerns, food and decorations were beautifully presented for the coming festive season. After the issues resolved, we enjoyed a fantastic stay with spectacular views from the club and our room. The afternoon tea was particularly impressive all pieces were delicious, highly recommend. The Shangri-la Jing’an Shanghai is certainly a great stay for corporate or leisure. "

"Loved the breakfast varieties and top quality ingredients, whether it was fruits & salads, English Breakfast, healthy choices such as smoked salmon, yogurts and muselies, or delicious Asian selections, e.g. dumplings, steamed baos, wontons, congees and ramens made fresh for you. We thoroughly enjoyed and sampled different types of breakfast each day. Happy hour in the evening doesn't disappoint either. Great selection of Asian and Western dishes, including complimentary beer, wine and liquour. It's worth paying a little extra to enjoy the club perks. Our twin room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We won't hesitate to book again when we are in Shanghai again"

"We had a really nice stay at the Holiday Inn situated at Jing’an. The room was v generously sized and there was a little couch or sitting area. The hotel very kindly prepared a birthday cake and gifted a bottle of wine for my mum’s birthday. The laundry facilities were also excellent and super convenient. The location of the hotel was ideal for us as we were travelling to/from Shanghai train station and the station was in easy walking distance (even with luggage)! The one improvement that the hotel could work on is better training for the front desk staff - All other staff was super kind and helpful (including the security guards) but the front desk staff were quite dismissive when we were checking in or when we had questions on directions etc. "

"I have stayed twice in this hotel already, 1st time was a business trip, and the second time with my family. Room is spacious perfect for us traveling with kids. The location is excellent so fair warning, prepare your wallet since there are a lot of shops and restaurants around the area. I also recommend availing of the breakfast. It's really good with a variety of food options. "
