"I liked the cleanliness of the motel. Pool was clean & towels provided. Motel was quiet & efficient. It was as expected."

"I liked rhe room, however, there were no USB charging plugs for electronic devices. An easy solution would be to exchange lamps for ones that include USB outlets. Next time I go to Carmel I will request a room on the 5th floor."

"I grew up in PG so this was a classic reminder of life in the 70's - I appreciated the old-timey fixtures and the fireplace with log : ) The staff were friendly, and very nice at breakfast, though what was on offer was a bit rustic for the modern traveler. One note re: cleanliness - the curtains (especially the thinner ones) seemed to have not been cleaned/washed since...well, the 70's! I was able to laugh about it a bit since it matched the retro vibe, but it was a bit disconcerting..."

"During our stay there was ongoing construction, and we were woken up as early as 6 a.m. by loud banging noises. On top of that, both the pool and hot tub were out of order, which was very disappointing. The room itself did not feel clean. The floors felt dirty, and the bedding had stains, hair, and crumbs on it, making it seem like the sheets hadn’t been properly washed or changed. The front desk staff was also not friendly or helpful at all. I called down to request housekeeping bring us some coffee and extra towels, and the front desk attendant told me I had to come down to the office to get the coffee myself and take towels from a hallway cabinet. She said if the cabinet was empty, I would have to wait until 10 a.m. when housekeeping refilled it. I’ve never stayed at a motel or hotel where basic items like coffee and towels were completely self-serve. When I asked if housekeeping could bring them up, she said they could bring the towels, but housekeeping never showed up. Between the construction noise, unavailable amenities, lack of cleanliness, and poor customer service, the experience was very frustrating and disappointing"
