Good overnight hotel for travelers

This was a good, lower cost hotel for a short overnight before catching the Havaist bus to the airport for an early morning flight. It's right around the corner from the bus stop at Taksim, and there were also plenty of taxis available if you needed one. It was clean and comfortable, and the price was right. Check-in was easy and check out, even at 2:30am, was easy, too.

Basic Hotel in Taksim.

The hotel is in Taksim down the end of a number of restaurant streets. Its rooms are fine and not too small, beds are hard. Amenities are on the basic side, however the breakfast is very good surprisingly.

Great location...rooms need updating

We stayed for six nights. The hotel is conveniently located in the Taksim area--central to most shopping and night club areas in Istanbul. The WiFi was pretty bad though so do not expect to make calls or be able to Skype while in the room. The breakfast was actually pretty good! We also stayed in another nearby hotel later on in our trip and were longing for the breakfast at Feronya the whole time. The front desk was very helpful. Be aware that there are not irons available in the rooms; you have to get access to a "tailor room" where you can iron your clothes. The rooms do have air conditioning but it was not very cold. Regardless of where you stay in Istanbul, learn some basic Turkish phrases, because most places, even in restaurants, do not speak English. Feronya does have many English speaking staff though. Last bote: laundry is very expensive!! The hotel does not offer laundry service, but referred us to a launderer around the corner...we paid 150 Turkish Lira (about $50) to wash a laundry bag full of clothes....ouch!!

Gibt bessere Alternativen in Istanbul

Hatten ein Vierbettzimmer gebucht, online hieß es, das Zimmer sei ca. 25m2 groß. Dort angekommen wurde uns ein Vierbettzimmer auch gegeben, jedoch war dies keine 15 m2 groß, man konnte sich hierin kaum bewegen. Auch war der Zustand des Zimmers so lala, die Klimaanlage funktionierte bei über 30°C Außentemperatur nicht und das Zimmer war extrem feucht. Im Bad zeigte sich schwarzer Schimmel an der Decke. Das Frühstück ging bis 10 Uhr, wurde aber schon nach 09:15 Uhr nicht mehr aufgefüllt.
