"GREAT location and once they changed our rooms from a view of the trash bins, the park view was nice. The interior of the hotel is dark… kind of grim. Hotel is clean, quiet at night, and the beds were very comfortable. We only had breakfast and dinner there once during our 6-night stay. Both were OK… much better to eat out!"

"The room was compact to say the least. No tea/coffee making facilities, although there was a small fridge. The shower was good but what was a little disturbing is that you can be seen using the toilet as it is frosted glass... Room in the toilet is at premium too... The bed was comfortable and could ve raised take make viewing the TV easier. The TV resolution was poor and the channel numbers did not match the channel names. No City views from this room and it would appear breakfast is £17.50 not £15.00. Unusually, I was made to pay for the stay when I checked in, as opposed to when I checked out. I stayed on a Friday and Saturday night at a cost of £336.00, which was quite a lot. Having said that the hotel is close to Farrindon Station and Smithfield Market. (There is a realy good cafe on Cowcross Street opposite the market that does a full English for £10) The hotel is very 'techy' requiring a Degree in electronic just to make the lift move.. "

"The room and hotel were ideal for our needs, few bits of cosmetic maintenance needed but nothing major. Either need fitted sheets of the housekeepers need to be trained to make sure the sheets are on secure, I had to remake both beds to get the sheets to stay on."

"Breakfast was amazing. We stayed in the West Wing and unfortunately we could here the rumble of trains until well after midnight so we didn’t have as good a sleep as we should have had."

"Extremely welcoming, helpful staff on arrival. Clean room. Only let down was breakfast, food on hot buffet had been there a while, tomatoes were shrivelled up, remains of dried up beans and scrambled egg left on the heated buffet. No orange juice in decanter and empty plates where pastries should have been. One staff member on duty who wasn’t topping anything back up, unfortunately. If breakfast issues were addressed I would have given a 5* review for this hotel."
