"When I checked images hotels looks in decent condition however when I turned up, it was a Indian restaurant, hallway smelled of strong curry, the room they gave me was a room converted from bathroom to bedroom, it felt like a refugee camp rather than a hotel "

"I was able to check in online before I arrived at The Kicking Dickey. The staff were very helpful and friendly along with the pub which I thought was very welcoming. My room was at the rear of the property so away from any noise. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, I think it might of been a converted stable. Nice functional bathroom with a shower and a very comfortable single bed. Lots of free parking outside the property. All in all well worth a stay."

"Was a good sized room with plenty of facilities. The bathroom was a bit tired and for the price, I felt it could have been a little more modern. There were a lot of spiders in the room which isn’t necessarily the hotels fault, it did make the stay less enjoyable as both my young daughters were a bit scared. The breakfast was decent and substantial, very nice restaurant with a varied evening menu (no burger though which surprised me). The location is good and was very easy to find. I recommend...

"After meeting our friends and spending an evening in Cambridge we returned to the crown and punchbowl for a night cap before bed and and found the bar was shut up and all staff had gone home. It was 10.45pm. So our evening ended quite abruptly. Our room which was on the first floor, was a little on the small side, with only a skyline window, and unfortunately the blind didn't keep the light out, so it was very bright at 5am. "Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend "

"Room was small but clean. As the weather was very hot they had put a small fan tower in the room which was extremely noisy but did cool the room down. Paid £13 each for breakfast and you had quite a good choice. Tea/coffee, several fresh juices, hot food cooked for you which was excellent. Nice bar area to relax. The price for our stay was extremely good value and we would definitely stay again."
