"This hotel is handy for the airport and there is a shuttle to the airport for a small charge. The staff were friendly but we were only there to sleep before an early flight, so didn’t use the bar/restaurant. The room was an okay size, but the curtain didn’t cover the window properly so light got in. The sofa bed for my daughter was sloping which wasn’t ideal. For an airport hotel, there was no decent soundproofing, so you could hear the flights late at night."

"An enjoyable stay at the Leonardo Murrayfield. Perfect for a few days. The reception staff were lovely, warm and helpful during check in and check out. Really good public transport options from the hotel into town. Good gym facility. However, the restaurant had a couple of items on the menu that were not available on the evening we chose to dine in that limited pescaterian options (e.g. no salmon) "

"The location is ideal for seeing Edinburgh city centre. If you don't want the nightlife noise then stay somewhere else. The view of Edinburgh Castle from our room was perfect though they could have covered the small expanse of roofing to make it more visually appealing. And the windows don't open so ask them to clean them if you want nice photos. The bed is comfortable the room well equipped. It was nice to have a small fridge, kettle etc. more than two coffee cups would be more useful. The breakfast was excellent and staffing at the restaurant in the morning very pleasant and helpful, and attentive. We had dinner one night at the restaurant. My bowl was chipped,the meal was not the standard I expected for the price so it was the only one we had there. Received our meal with no utensils, we had ordered soup and a main. Front staff representatives friendly and approachable. Since there are many uneven stairs I was surprised to see them watch other older patrons struggle to bring luggage up and down them and not offer to assist they watch a group of 12 do just that and the last one was the only one they moved to assist and she was already half way down. Not very amusing while I held the door."

"In the morning there was no one at the front desk, finally I saw someone and they said to drop off the keys in drop box. Hallways really could have used a good vacuuming, I noticed several small candy wrappers in the hallway"

"Very good selection at breakfast. Food in restaurant is overpriced. Our shower area had unsightly and unhealthy black mould, easy to fix with bleach or re grout. "
