"Awesome location. A bit of a walk from downtown Sintra but it had a big public parking lot right next door. We parked the car and walked downtown and to all of the castles. The room was extremely small but it was all we needed. Try "pasta de nata" frim the coffee shop next door......amazing!"

"A wonderful little hotel with friendly, helpful staff. The location is convenient and walking distance to the center. Although the rooms are small, the common area is a great place to hang out, work on your computer, play cards or just relax."

"It was an amazing experience. It is a shame that it is further to Quinta da Regaleira than what Expedia advertises but it is still walking distance, just mot 10 min and rather 30 minutes. The staff was extremely nice and the breakfast delicious "

"This place was absolutely charming with lots of characteristics!! We stayed 2 nights in the room 'Moon River'(queen size bed). The room was very clean, spacious and with lovely big windows. We appreciated the attention in the small details. Breakfast was great and met our needs (cold and hot options). The location was excellent and walking distance (15min) to old town of Sintra (keep in mind you're on a mountain so lots of hills/steep climbs). Plenty of free street parking in the "loop", but if...

"We had a wonderful stay at the Lawrence. The bed was the most comfortable out of all our stays so far in Portugal. From our check in to breakfast it was perfect. The young lady at breakfast was a delight and had many great suggestions. "

"The room was spotless with king sized bed. AC/heater, and good tv and internet connection. There was a bathroom two steps up including a small enclosed shower and claw foot tub with sink and toilet. All was fresh and clean. There was also a small alcove with a twin bed on the same level as the bath."

"Location was walkable into old town, train station, tour buses (434, 435 located at the train station) and sintra bus station. Our room was in the back, therefore nice and quiet. Enjoyed cup of tea on the upper terrace looking onto the patio. Staff very informative. Only thing missing is a small refrigerator in the room. Good restaurants nearby. Little fruit stand/convenience store across street. Pingo Doce grocery storea bit of a hike but worth it."
