"Haha! My review?! All good at check in. Once in the room, you can see that there is a space between the front door itself and the door frame. "Staff entered my room without permission and without knocking. Just because hotel staff have keys does not mean they can enter a guest’s room whenever they want. "We loved our stay at this hotel. It is in a perfect location for winter and sunmer adventures, and not far from Lake Placid shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the comfortable room and sauna after a long day on the mountain, and the stocked kitchen made it easy and efficient to fuel up in the mornings. We will definitely return here again when we plan our next Adirondack adventure!"

"Great hotel for hipsters. Very vintage and cozy with very friendly owner/operator. Service was excellent with coffee tea muffins. Room was old, but the sheets were clean. Cable TV was great WiFi too, but a little slow to stream. The bathrooms were clean, but looked like there had been a previous leak. We were short on towels, but were offered a room upgrade last minute to accommodate our child, so maybe it wasn’t stocked. Owner was so friendly I’m sure she would have provided anything she could....
