"The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable, although the room was small, and if you ended up stuck inside, you’d quickly become claustrophobic. Likewise, the picture used to advertise the hotel is not a picture of any public or restaurant space in the hotel building, but a picture of the pub/restaurant 150 feet away. "Check in was great, nice & easy and the room was ready straight away. The room was a twin, a great size but very tired. The carpet could do with changing and the shower sealant definitely needs re-doing as it was black in areas. Breakfast was plentiful, could have been warmer but nothing too drastic. It even a separate gluten free section, including its own toaster, was impressed with that. There is also a Toby Carvery just opposite It served us well for 1 night but would not want to stay any...

"We stayed here while at the State Fayre festival and will definitely stay here again if there is another festival next year. Friendly staff, lovely gardens and comfortable rooms (although air conditioning would’ve been nice during the heatwave!) Only suggestion would be: upgrade the toiletries in the rooms please. Two tiny watery bottles is not enough!"
