"We had a wonderful stay at the Sultania. The hotel was a bit less luxury than we thought from the website, but the room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect if, like us, you want to be able to visit and revisit the old city and its monuments. What makes the Sultania stand out is the staff - they could not have been more helpful, from making bookings and answering questions to seeming genuinely pleased to see us as we came and went. "This was my first time in Turkey and we stayed about 9 days. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this hotel so close to everything. We walked almost everywhere: Hagia Sophia, Blue Dome Mosque, Basilica (which were 20 feet from the hotel), Grand Bazaar, and close by to restaurants that you did not have to use or pay for any transportation. (Avoid taxis at ALL costs, if you can). It is better to find one of the all day rental companies with the black vans and pay a set fee before you use...
