"This property exceeded our expectations! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay , staff was very helpful and loved how quiet the location was 10/10!! "
"What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon. We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...
"A truly exceptional and unique hotel experience in the heart of Higashiyama. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special place to stay while in Kyoto.
A worthwhile destination in its own right, and absolutely wonderful hospitality and service. "
"Amazing location, amenities, free perks, we even have our very own maiko show with free drinks, and the owners were very nice and happy to help with any questions. "
"The property itself felt a little less hip and young than places we typically stay, but it was such a comfortable stay. The bed & soaking tub was a dream, the location and staff top notch. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"Wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. The front desk was very kind and helped us with information and with luggage dispatch to our next destination. The bedroom was really good and spacious. Three minute walk from Kyoto station, so it was good to arrive and leave with Shinkansen and also to move around the city with train and subways. "
"I like the Gion area around this hotel. There is a famous shrine nearby and a charming shopping district around the corner. The futons are comfy and the room doesn't feel cramped. The staff is super nice and helpful. We liked this place so much this is our second stay there. "
"We loved it here - great staff and excellent food (and a superb shower!). The room was quiet and the area is close to the old town. We would stay again. Thank you to all!"
