Fairway Inn Florida City Homestead Everglades

6/10 Okay

"It's fairly convenient and inexpensive, with a decently sized room. There is some food and drink available to purchase from the office, although can be a little pricey for what it is (e.g. $3 for Gatorade). Room was a little grimey (mostly the floor, and there was hair left about the place), but there's decent AC and you get parking. You also get a decent sized mini fridge and a microwave. The tradeoff is, of course, you have to eat out more and that is quite expensive! It's within drivable distance of a fair amount of dining places and, for the main reason we were there, it was equidistant between several entrances to the Everglades. Decent for a budget holiday!"

"It is supposedly located near other places, yet it feels completely isolated from everything. The cleanliness was terrible—my room wasn't cleaned properly at all! The breakfast was cold, and the toilet didn't work right. As for the bathtub, water splashed all over the floor because it doesn't have a shower door! My experience was horrible; I will never go back there."
