"We loved the older Country Club charm. It was beautiful to look out at the water from our room and walk to the castle ruins. The dining is charming as well! Great spot for quietness. We will come back!"

"The room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely big shower. The hotel was very nice and again very clean. Great bar. As you walk in to the reception it is very grand like walking into a beautiful Manor House. Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. The problem I had was it said in the booking email they check in was 2pm. It isn’t it’s 3pm . So be careful."

"Lovely hotel with a lovely restaurant and outside seating. The only issue was the cleanliness of the room. It was thick with dust and cobwebs, along with hairs in the shower. We reported to reception and they only provided us with an email to email after our stay."

"Lift "Out of Order", Jacuzzi "Out of Order", Chef "Out of Order". This is not a 4 star hotel, they seem to be struggling to maintain it and staff it sufficiently. After waiting one hour ten minutes for our food, two out of three meals were awful; dry, tasteless and covered in red chillies to disguise them. Most staff were lovely, they have a tough job there though."

"Nice looking old building, full of character in keeping with surroundings, however the downside to this was poor internal layout. There was a (small) lift but even with a lift we still had few steps up & down to get to our room so not a problem for us but less abled/non ambient may not have been able to enjoy their stay. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice of buffet items & hot food off menu cooked to order. Staff at breakfast lovely. No air conditioning in room, only in bar. As we had...
