"This hotel is in a great country location with extremely friendly staff, from the check-In, dinner service, breakfast and checkout. The hotel is very reasonably priced but this is probably due to the fact that the decor is old, a bit tired and in need of redecoration throughout. It was clean however the wallpaper was dated, the paintwork needed redoing and the carpet was clean but with the signs of oils stains, none of this bothered me but if you are fussy then maybe pay more and go elsewhere. Bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep. The restaurant was well worth a visit even if you donโt decide to stay here as the food was very well priced and of excellent quality. I had the venison steak, seasonal vegetables, salt & pepper chips & blue cheese sauce on the side, and must say that the steak was tender, cooked to perfection and the vegetables, chips & sauce were extremely tasty. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. In conclusion hotel worth staying at if donโt mind the decor a bit dated / tied, restaurant definitely visit."

"The location was ideal, just a 5 minute walk to The Hoe, easy walk to The Lido and the Barbican, 20 minutes from the Train Station, the room I stayed in was small but adequate for what I needed, they no longer do Breakfast but there are a choice of places within a 10 minute walk, bed was comfy and a selection of teabags and coffee in the room, these arenโt always replaced daily but if you ask at reception they will give you some, would definitely stay again if I go back to Plymouth especially for the price."

"Everything about the hotel and staff was perfect. The only thing that we had issue with was the parking arrangements. Our Expedia booking included free parking, but apparently parking is only guaranteed when booking directly with the hotel. Expedia were not transparent about this. Hence, on the first night, we had to park on the street and pay ยฃ14.40 for five hours...waiting for an allocated hotel parking space on a first-come, first-served basis to become available."
