"Excellent hotel. Quirky but elegant rooms, old world charm. Amazingly comfortable beds. Love the free sparkling water dispenser. Taipei Main Station right next door, very convenient."
"This hotel is a walking distance to Beimen and Taipei Main Station. It is also very convenient that a 7-11 is just next door to this hotel.
Overall, we love this hotel and will for sure come back on our next Taiwan vacation."
"This is a wonderful hotel if you want to be near authentic shops and food stalls and restaurants. "Check in process was friendly and seamless (thank you Jessie for the room upgrade for a better view of city)! Lobby was indeed grand (live piano music was a beautiful addition). Hotel shuttle to and from Yuanshan train station was very convenient. Room was nice - however recommend stocking room with more clothes hangars, plates, silverware. Standard pillows were uncomfortable - good thing I saw the pillow menu (charcoal pillow was much better). Recommend separate shampoo and conditioner (not combined). Underground tour was not that enjoyable because tour guide spoke in Mandarin - recommend offering 2 tours (Mandarin and English). Swimming pool and gym required taking a shuttle so we didnt get to see that part of the hotel unfortunately. Overall all hotel were friendly and welcoming (except the mean lady working as barista in afternoon of July 29, 2025). Hope to stay at Grand Hotel next time we are in Taipei!"
"Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel and rooms look great.
We stayed here twice while in Taiwan while doing a weekend in another city, the hotel looked after our luggage during this time so we could just take a small bag with us.
Both stays we had our room upgraded. The rooms were bigger than most other hotel rooms, as was the shower. Appreciate the free water in the lobby.
Location is great, stairs right outside connecting to Taipei main station through a shopping mall, less than 10 minute walk to get to the platform. Walking distance to Ximen and Ningxia night market - we would bring food back to eat in the hotel where they having a seating/dining area.
100% would stay here again."
