"This hotel makes a Travelodge look like The Dorchester. While the ladies at reception and the cleaner were absolutely lovely and did their best to help, this is unfortunately the worst hotel I have stayed in within the UK. The first room I was allocated had an overwhelming sewage smell. The odour was so strong that I walked straight back out and returned to reception. To their credit, the receptionist apologised and promptly moved me to what she described as one of the newly refurbished...

"Helpful giving ground floor room due yo disability but 1 double bed,paid for 2 separate beds. Staff got put you up very low camp bed,great bur then virtually impossible yo move round the room. Told breakfast 7.30,too late as we had to get away early went to check out ,oh no it's 7 weekdays went without paid for breakfast for nothing."

"Great modern hotel in central Birmingham. Has a small spa on site which you can use at a discounted rate as a guest. Was surprised to see there wasn’t a pool there but other facilities you can use. You can’t prebook the spa which is a shame, only hope there’s availability on the day. We had an issue with the drainage in our room, however once notified, staff were efficient at relocating and upgrading us for the inconvenience. I found staff to be very polite and attentive. "Great welcome and easy guide through the services available during the stay. Apartment equipped with all you would need for a short visit. Sofa bed was very comfortable and easy to bring out and put away. Probably one of the calmest places I've stayed in. Great location for easy access to the city. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

"A beautiful shiny new hotel with well thought through design and such aesthetic decor. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The roof top bar was a definite plus, with fab views, it just made the weekend for me and my friend who had a long overdue catch up. So close to the station, an easy weekend away."

"We had reserved two rooms. One of the rooms had such an awful, musty smell that it hit you as soon as you opened the door. We notified reception and were given a bottle of air freshener. Sprayed half a bottle in the room and went out to dinner. When we came back smell was still there and still as pungent. TV was also not working so we called reception again. "Out of town location. Property needs a makeover. Carpets overdue for clean or replacement. Room otherwise clean but not serviced daily. Reception staff polite and helpful but don't present a confidence in their product. Overall impression was shabby. Breakfast by 830am was limted to remains of much earlier cooked food. Had to bring attention to staff the mould on bread for toast."

"Whilst a little out of town this is a great place for a north/south stopover. Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts in a while, compared to many a higher end hotel chain. Tasty, hot (most important) and good quality."
