2/10 Terrible

"Upon arrival, the first room assigned to me was not properly cleaned. There was uneaten food, open beverage containers, bottles and cans, dirty socks on the floor, dirty towels in the bathroom, and debris throughout the room. Due to the unacceptable condition of the room, I requested to be moved. Unfortunately, the second room presented additional issues. There were no towels available, and throughout my stay it was unnecessarily difficult to obtain basic amenities despite multiple requests. For the first two days of my stay, my room was not serviced at all by housekeeping. In addition, the bathroom experienced a flood, creating further inconvenience and concern. To make matters worse, the air conditioning unit malfunctioned, impacting the comfort of my stay."

"Pros: Rooms were very clean and decorated nicely. Helpful staff welcoming. One parking spot Per room in back off Street. Had a nice seating areas throughout the games quiet corners to read. Plenty of shopping and restaurants been walking distance. Con: say it's early in the season as I stayed in the beginning of June. But the outdoor patio and gardens needed some attention and trimming. I would assume once the season gets going that this will be a manicured better."

"We stayed for Memorial Day weekend, I would assume a busy holiday for them, and the entire time they were doing construction on the room above ours. We heard banging, drilling, and stomping for hours on end. They should maybe have waited during the week or not a busy holiday to make these renovations. When we called the front desk they said other people have also complained and that they will get it figured out, but it did not stop. In fact, we heard them talking and the workers and staff were annoyed/frustrated about the complaints made by the guests. Definitely disrupted our stay as we were trying to have a relaxing vacation."

"Hyatt Regency Hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The mattress and pillows were wonderful. The shower was perfect and the towels where soft and smelled so clean. This was my second stay this year and I plan on staying every time I'm on Long Island, New York and elsewhere. I decided to become a member of the Hyatt Global Loyalty program, which will give me lovely perks, including free breakfast (see additional perks on Google)."

Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa

6/10 Okay

"Great location, excellent facilities. Staff very mixed - some incredible and some terrible. Cumulative number of issues but dealt with by a member of the management team after getting fed up of a number of things, Including: Dog mess left for > 24 hours after reporting it. Staff member laughed and clearly did nothing after reporting it. Not our dog. Had to call 4 times to get our daughters bed made up in the room. Despite being on the booking months in advance. Asked for an ice cream for our daughter and told i was lying when i said they’d done it for her the two proceeding days and they couldnt get her one. Not the kind of treatment or experience from a resort of this quality."
