"Uprising is a boutique “resort” on the beach. Water is shallow which suits young kids, or there is a pool. Bures appear to be under renovation. Villas are good for parents with up to 2 kids. Bathroom is huge but there is also an amazing outdoor shower for each villa. Staff are very kind and personable. We came by local bus from Nadi but would recommend having a rental car to get about. "It is now clearly getting old. Maintenance is needed. Staff absolutely unhelpful until asked. No info on room was given upon check in. No time for checkout or info on amenities or even wifi password. Had to go back each time to front desk to ask. Wifi only worked when outside in the open. Couldn’t use in room. Hot water was the worse. Hot shower available only if shower was 1 min long. Regardless of time of day, hot water ran out after 1 mins of shower. 3 girls in room who could not wash hair...

"Large pool, really attractive, well attended grounds. Secluded & remote with a lovely sandy beach directly in front. Nice & quiet, but very thin walls between units so you could hear every word your neighbours said. Culture night feast & kava celebration were great. Unfortunately other meals were a bit disappointing. Long way from Nadi, but convenient distance to Suva. Excellent beach, excellent snorkelling."
