"We stayed at the Apex Grassmarket for three nights and it was a great hotel! The location can't be beat, the grassmarket has lots of places to eat, drink, shop (you are right by victoria street!) so there is always something going on. There was even a little market when we were there, loved it. It can get loud, so if you are a light sleeper that might be something to consider. It didn't bother us (we actually liked it - we heard snow patrol playing at the castle one night!) but something to...

"Beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location to the train station (Waverly) and to the main downtown area. Top floor check in and champagne bar was also very beautiful and it is a nice touch to get a free glass of champagne (or non-alc bev) when you check in, and there were a lot of free drinks and snacks in the room. Only downside is that in the evening, we had significant trouble with slow wifi that made it very difficult to stream movies/shows."

"one of the best hotel room, i have ever stayed. the lobby is nice, the room is huge and even nicer. they refill the water, but towards the end of our stay, they no longer refill the snack. otherwise the room is nice as per picture, bonus it is just 3 mins walk from the train station, so if your journey is late at night, this hotel is just close by to the train station and royal mile."

"This place tries very hard for a slick, modern vibe but fails on all the basics. A good hotel should be comfortable, clean, quiet, and convenient. Other than location, this hotel fails on all of those points. I shouldn't have to physically climb over my sleeping partner to get out of bed, for example, or turn all the lights on just to figure out how to work a touchpad to turn one specific light on or off. The shower shouldn't be mouldy and the floor dirt-covered, ever, and the once-per-week (!)...

"Amazing staff nice hotel cool style and great location some wear and tear in place! My room was great lights on the ceiling were covered in dust! Not major but I noticed it! Would recommend recommend and stay again"
