"For the Pros - The staff. I cannot fault any interaction I had with the staff. Very helpful and responsive to any request made.
The facilities. The Ground floor was well equipped, 24 hour reception, nice bar, nice looking restaurant, plenty of seating and even a pool table. There is a swimming pool with steam room, hot tub and sauna. The sauna was under repair when I stayed, but as it was during the 5th heatwave, it was not really missed.
There is also a small gym with modern equipment. Good...

"Breakfast was good. Plenty to choose from. The twin rooms are small, especially the bathroom. The room on the first floor (110) has a window facing a wall so the room felt dark"

"I keep telling myself it’s cheap and cheerful, and it is to some degree.. but it has a 4* sign as you drive in, and this just isn’t the case. Rooms are run down and have needed upgrading for years. The swimming pool has been “ under maintenance” on the 3 occasions I have stayed over the years, so I just question whether it is ever open.
The carpets needed hoovering in the hallways and our room. It’s a shame because the bar/ kitchen staff seem to work really hard with what they have and are...
