"Room not what we were expecting as it wasn’t a cabin but a very damp smelling old and worn lodge in a row of other lodges which were all connected together. However after paying an upgrade on our booking we were allocated a large cabin near the lake"

"The very spacious bathroom, and bedroom, only criticisms are the lack of clothes storage, wardrobe was tiny with 6 hangers ,there were no drawers for clothing only 2 shelves, the room had more than enough space for a bit more storage furniture, the breakfast was nice but not warm enough, the self service coffee machine at breakfast didn't work, other than that it was ok, but for £120 a night I wouldn't stay there again"

"Everything was great no negatives :) Room and communal areas were well decorated and clean, staff very friendly, buffet breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold and special dietary foods. Right next door to the train station and only a ten min walk into main shopping streets"

"This is a lovely hotel. We were unfortunate to have a room that was not up to standards with a faulty air conditioner. The position of the hotel is great with stunning gardens and backs on to the racecourse so has beautiful views. Very clean and dining was very nice"

"We stayed at this hotel for one night. The room itself was spacious but very worn. The chairs were falling apart and the carpet was very stained. The biggest issue was that the shower drain was blocked and would not drain. This made the shower unusable. The hotel would not move us to another room as they claimed to be fully booked. They also would not send maintenance to the room until the next day. This meant that we could not have a shower in our room."

"Stayed at The Yorkshire for 2 nights, nice clean room and bed was comfy. Good choice at breakfast and staff very helpful. Great location to explore Harrogate and if you want to eat at the Pickled Sprout would suggest making a reservation as it gets very busy. Parking is restricted at the Hotel, first come first served, but we parked at the Multi-Story on Tower Street (£9 for 24 hours)."
