"I would NOT recommend this ‘hotel’. I genuinely felt like I was squatting in a derelict building. It would have been an amazing building back in the day, but it hasn’t been maintained at all; awful stained carpets, uncomfortable bed, my bathroom door wouldn’t shut, the tv didn’t work and nor did the WiFi."

"We stayed in Buttercup cottage and it was absolutely lovely. It was much larger than we expected and was well stocked with everything we needed. It was also very well maintained and the biscuits, cake and milk were a nice welcoming touch. It was perfect for our stay, it’s tucked away in the country but only a short drive or walk to the nearest local shops / pubs. I was able to walk easily to the local convenience store in Castleton. "Very comfortable with an excellent spa and pool. Breakfast is amazing. We regularly book here as a base for runs on the North York Moors and it works brilliantly. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make everything work for early start."
