"Great location. Large room. Staff very responsive, immediately attending to our inability to use the safe for example. Didn’t have breakfast but appreciated the coffee room to relax and wait in. Highly recommend "

"We spent a night before a river cruise and a night between cruises. The hotel is a very short walk fro Amsterdam Centre train station near the trams, trains and canal tours. It is also within walking distance of the river cruise piers."

"Major pluses: Great for transport - tram (20 mins), metro (30 mins) and train (5 mins!) to Centraal Station. Cheery, friendly, helpful staff. Room to store luggage on last day. Fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher. Good-sized room. Comfy bed. Clean, newl, well-appointed room. Quiet. Reasonable price. Minor minus: No replenishing of washing-up liquid. Overall: A great stay. Staff couldnt have been more helpful and there was ALWAYS someone at reception. Brilliant for travel into, or out of, Amsterdam. I'd happily stay here again."

"A fantastic hotel with a great vibe ! I would recommend this hotel to anyone waiting to visit Amsterdam , a great hotel , with on site facilities for relaxing ! The spa and pool are absolutely a must visit when staying here ! And also the bar which offers great drinks & also bar snack meals which are very tasty and value for money ! The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the metro station Overamstel which makes it very easy and convenient to move around in the city ! I recommend the van der valk hotel a lot ! "
