The only reason we are giving this resort a 4/5 was that we encountered some staff members that were not welcoming. "I liked that the location of the resort and it was well maintained however, I wasn't pleased with the room. Upon our arrival, the remote to the TV was missing, the robes were missing, no wash clothes were in the room and the dispenser in the shower was hand soap and conditioner vs shampoo and conditioner. The safe didn't work and you had to leave the balcony door open for the AC to go off. The room was freezing and you can't control the temperature. Staff was great. Food was ok. The steak...

"This is your typical mid grade all inclusive resort. They don’t allow anyone under the age of 18 in any pool with a swim up bar so if you have teens with you it can get annoying if you want a drink and want to also be with them. Food is average, the lunch buffet offered the best variety."

"We just got home from our stay at Bahia Principe Runaway Bay, and we already miss it! We had such a great time. The resort was beautiful, and what really made the trip special was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A huge shoutout to the entertainment team, especially Crazy Legs and Toni. They kept the energy up every day and made all the activities so much fun. You can tell they love what they do, and they really helped make our vacation...

"The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the staff was great. The only problem we had was there were only 3 restaurants other than the buffet and beach bar and we were only allowed to go to each of the 3 fine restaurants 1 time even though we were there for a whole week. People who came for 3 nights got to go to the 3 restaurants 1 time each so since we stayed 7 nights we paid 2 times more than them so we feel we should have been able to go to one of the finer 3 restaurants each night."

"I absolutely loved Riu Reggae. Everyone over there was extremely friendly and helpful and there was so much to do! I’m pretty sure there was a show almost every night! I especially liked the fact that my friends and I were able to go to the other resorts (riu montego bay & riu palace) and do things over there too. The food was good some days and okay other days but it is a resort so my expectations weren’t that high. But overall, the resort was a 10/10!"

"I’ll start with the good: the staff is extremely friendly, the entertainment team does their best to keep guests entertained, the beach is absolutely beautiful and amazing, the pools are nice, and the food is very good. "The resort as a whole was amazing. Spent my birthday there and was beyond impressed. It was also our first time in Jamaica. Pros, food was great with so many varieties, we were able to reserve spots at the restaurants with no issue. The drinks were strong and really really good. We stayed mostly at the beach where life gaurds, security and other hotel staff are always available to help. Entertainment varied from night to night and there was always something to do. "The staff was amazing everyone we spoke to except the nurse and yasaunna were incredible. They were warm friendly helpful and just overall incredible. Barrington, Javier, kierah, chef Marcus, Chef Anthony, and Suttoni, were wonderful but yasaunna is horrible especially for her to be a big customer service supervisor she knows nothing about customer service. Also, the chairs in the dining room buffet are stressful they take away from the dining experience."
