"On arrival the desk staff (4 of them) didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked in. The one that eventually did was very helpful. The room and facilities were good although when you book a room for 3 it isn’t rocket science to work out that you will need 3 cups, coffee pod, robes, etc. One of the 2 robes in the room was badly ripped and unusable. Food in the bar was good but service was very poor and we felt like a nuisance rather than a guest paying these prices per night. Very poor. Spa was...

"We enjoyed a four night midweek stay at this beautiful property. The decor is truly stunning throughout the hotel , the restaurant excellent and staff attentive and helpful. The grounds are extensive and beautiful and the hotel is situated in a very rural area with plenty of interesting places to visit within easy driving distance. The dark night skies make for excellent star gazing!"

"Booked for 4 nights.Towels and bins should have been changed on 3rd morning.Not done.Towels changed on 4th night.Bins over flowing and smelly not emptied during stay.Staff pleasant but lackadaisical.Outside steps were filthy.Not a good look at all.Will probably stay there again because location was excellent.Overall 6 out of 10"

"Great staff, lovely grounds, only issue was how hot the room was. Even though a fan was provided, the windows don't open enough to give adequate air flow, was difficult to sleep."
