"Decent overnight stay before cruise. Hotel is trying hard to bring it back to its once legacy status. A few mishaps but overall I would recommend especially for a night or two. Dover as a town is dying on the vine. Many locals said it has changed and being taken down very by others. Go see the Castle. Not much else to do unless you like shopping at secondhand stores. "

"Had a lovely stay but the curtains are not ideal as they do not cover the windows properly. We were in a corner room so had two windows - we also had a neon sign outside so there was constant light in our room and it was misleading when we woke during the night Breakfast was lovely - great variety Staff very polity and helpful Would definitely return but would bring eye mask "

"We stayed 3 nights, eating in each night. It is a really lovely establishment which has exceptional food and wonderful attentive staff. "I booked a deluxe double but wouldn't class our room as deluxe . The wardrobe base had collapsed, the large sash window was held open by a plastic coat hanger & there seemed to be mould in the corner of the ceiling . Staff were friendly & the breakfast was very tasty. The bedroom needs redecorating. "
