"This was my fifth stay at the Palace Hotel, I also go to Buxton Opera House to see a show. We booked dinner and breakfast at the hotel.Check in was great, very pleasant receptionist.Our evening meal last night was lovely, great service from a pleasant waitress and the meal was very tasty! "When we arrived, the staff attended to us very quickly and efficiently and were very welcoming. The hotel is very clean, breakfast is delicious and all the hotel and spa staff were pleasant. The room i believe got upgraded from the one we booked previously and overall would recommend the place so already booked the next trip to go back!!!"

"Great location and friendly staff, but the building needs serious updates. The hotel is in an excellent location, the breakfast was good, everything was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, the building itself is very dated and in desperate need of renovation. It feels quite run-down and worn out, which detracts from the overall experience."

"Perfect location, plenty of space, the perfect comfort to relax after a day of walking with the kids. Click and collect tea in our pyjamas and we brought breakfast with us so relaxing in the room until we walk again! 😊"

"Amazing hotel"

"The property is situated in a beautiful location handy for Bakewell and Buxton. The room was spacious and the bed was comfy although the pillows were not great. There was lots of storage for our things. The bathroom was also a good size but I was disappointed to find a couple of long black hairs on the floor! The staff were pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful and we also are there in the evening whi h was tasty and good value for money. There is plenty of parking space."

"A short two night stay. We have stayed here half a dozen times over many years. The buildings are beautiful 17th Century and the decor is sympathetic to the period. Food is a good standard they have an AA Rosette. Quiet location and enthusiastic staff. We strongly recommend it!"

"We had a lovely two night stay at Losehill. Ideally situated if you want to walk up Losehill or Mam Tor and Edale is a 20 minute bus ride away. The bus can be caught from the bottom of the lane. The service from every member of staff we encountered during our stay was outstanding. The food was excellent with amazing views as you eat."

"The location for the Peaks is fantastic and it’s more affordable than staying in the Peaks itself. We stayed as a family of four and have stayed here before prior to its rebrand but it could do with a bit of TLC. The lady on the front desk was very friendly and also engaged with our young children which was nice. There is a bar/restaurant connected to the hotel, where we had a drink, but we didn’t eat there.
