"On the whole it was a very enjoyable birthday weekend for myself and my wife. One small comment to make is on the Saturday night we opted for the buffet as opposed to the à la carte. The choice and quality weren’t the best but ok, only then to find out when the time came to pay that the costs were the same for the buffet as they were for the à la carte! Bit naughty really. "

"Could be outstanding but the kitchen lets them down. The location, hotel and staff are wonderful but the food is where the shine falls off. Decent menu but most of the food was bland, lacking taste or overly greasy (fish). Breakfast was wrong both mornings (even with simple request), kitchen needs to read the orders properly.. At the two dinners, both night people on tables around us were commenting on their food.. (which is such a shame for a lovely hotel..."

"The cottage was very cosy and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was so comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean."

"Beautiful spa and great value for money. However walls are paper thin so you can literally hear everything. If you are noise sensitive, this it not the hotel for you! Breakfast - menu service which is nice. Very friendly staff."

"Room was nice, spacious and exceptionally clean. But the food was poor, avoid the Market kitchen. Brasserie 34 was the nicest. If you have mobility issues the hotel is massive and there is no assistance getting from the car park to reception with your luggage "

"A shame breakfast not cooked to order. Impressive dining room, just avoid tables on a through- route. Well staffed all great at up-selling. Had a room in the main house which had difficult access to the bathroom, especially at night. (Three narrow steps up). Check in/put very smooth. Comfortable lounge areas"

"Staff shifting and moving goods around late at night, 11.30 still crashing about with no regard to guests trying to sleep."

"I cannot say enough about how magical this place is! Perfectly situated for day trips throughout the Cotswolds. The definition of quaint and charming cottage in the English countryside. We had dinner and breakfast every day and the food is amazing!! "

"Disappointed that for what you pay and area that it’s in you don’t even get coffee in the room. Very poor "

"Lovely room. I don't like coffee bags, they are so weak. Facilities good. Bathroom tiles need grouting bleached. View not bad, I did expect a better view for a deluxe room but it was perfectly ok. But overall, very good stay and I would definitely stay there again."
