"The hotel was great. The restaurant had delicious food, if a little expensive. The spa was cool, but very small and too expensive for what it was. The steam room was not working and they kept the price the same. "

"We really enjoyed our stay. It was refreshing staying in an independently run hotel as we often stay at chain hotels. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming- nothing was too much trouble. The room was nice and the breakfast was really good. The pool and spa facilities were a really nice feature. The only niggle was that there was no air conditioning in the room. "I thought the room was great for the price, the location would have been difficult to beat, the food options were great, and the team was very kind. The road it was on had a lot of clubs (night and the other kind), but never did it feel overly uncomfortable and, at least where my room was, was quiet. "

"This is a quiet apart hotel. Never heard a peep from any other guests. Everything seems well thought out. Didn’t cook, but appreciated the fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed. Solicitous folks at reception. TV was fine. Also good wi-fi. No complaints. Shopping was close and lots of dining and coffee options. Good to have coffee and kettle in the room. Impeccably clean."

"This was the perfect location for us to stay to be able to visit Cheshire Oaks, Chester Zoo and Chester, just 10mins drive from each. I avoided hotels in Chester due to lack of easy parking options but this one was great. Really nice rooms, clean and modern with lots of amenities. Breakfast was good, plenty of hot and continental choices. We loved the warm cookie at check in too - a nice touch! Staff were all very nice and friendly."

"The hotel was excellent and would stay again and in line with some top London hotels. Only thing and probably not the only one saying this. The corridors and especially the rooms need air con drastically, especially with the frequent extremely hot weather, they are like a sauna. Windows don’t open wide enough and need to pull curtains at night, then that blocks out little ventilation even more. A big fan is provided but that just spreads hot air around the room and keeps you awake as they are...
