"In fairness, the lobby was clean and most everything outside looked new. The experience was so terrible, we decided no to even check in to our room - we just used the pool for the afternoon. They call themselves a Disney family-friendly hotel - THEY ARE NOT. There are military looking guards at the gate to the pool who actually search your belonging more thoroughly than TSA and have to let you into the pool area with a key. When we entered the pool area we were told no outside food or beverage...

"This was the perfect stay in Monterey. Super close to the wharf and to Alvarado street. Staff were very nice and hotel was very clean. We loved the local eateries that were very walkable as well. I would say that the beds were very tiny. Supposed to be a “queen” bed, felt more like a full bed. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again."
