"February 2026 Breathless is breathtaking! Butlers Esteohania and Gamboa were beyond accommodating and always available with any questions we had. They made our honeymoon/anniversary so very special. ❤️ The pool staff at the Xhale Pool were amazing. Fun atmosphere with games, music, activities … no boredom! We were served amazing drinks by Edwin and Roger, and the Cabana guys were so great. Victor (thank you thank you we will miss you!) had our cabana bed always ready for us with a smile and Vicente made us feel welcome. All the guys were funny and friendly. Above all, were were extremely thankful for the doctor in house, Sergio. Saved our trip! Can’t say enough. We will absolutely return to this resort. It’s laid back when you want it to be, a pretty good party bar, and the foooood was incredible. Entertainment was unique each night. A fair value for the money. Extra points for a swim out river off the patio, room cleanliness, and just all around fun and hospitable environment. Loved the raccoons, iguanas, and birds just beautiful! ☀️🫶🏻"

"After reading many negative reviews about Royalton Riviera Cancun, we were considering canceling our reservation and booking another hotel. Long story short, we are glad we didn't! THE FOOD was good except for one meal in 6 days we were there. The buffet had a wide variety and was pretty good overall. Omelettes, tacos, etc were very good. If you are used to American-style brisket, I would steer clear from ordering it there. The Tappanyaki was REALLY good! THE DRINKS were good, typical, all-inclusive drinks, but was pleased they had Coors Light cans as an option for the refrigerator in the room. The mixologist at the Zen restaurant made the best drink of the trip, a spicy mango cocktail. THE SERVICE was over the top! Yael was our personal assistant (a perk for booking with Hotels.com). She made dinner reservations for us and even decorated our room as a surprise for my daughter's birthday. She checked in with us to see if we needed anything regularly, (even on her day off!) The waiting staff was very nice and accomodating. THE BEACH had the most amazing sand! Plenty of chairs on the beach and a couple bars to order drinks from right on the beach. Not enough servers walking the beach but not a big deal since the beach bar was close. A tractor raked up the seaweed every day multiple times. OVERALL I would recommend this resort. So many people like to post negatives and don't highlight the positives. The positive experiences FAR outweighed any negative ones."

"We have stayed at many “all inclusive” resorts in the Mexican QRoo area and the Caribbean Islands. The El Sid resort has consistently exceeded our expectations; we have been there 6 times. The cleanliness, the food, the service and the people all have been 5 star. The only negative we have ever experienced was attending their time share pitch. They offer expensive promotions for a ninety minute presentation. While the promotional program may seem like a viable trade for 90 minutes of time, it’s not! The meeting is VERY high pressure and last and minimum of 5 frustrating hours. Unless you really want to invest in a vacation plan, it is not worth it…no matter what the offer. IMO"

"The staff was amazing! They were so friendly. It was great getting to know them. The rooms were nice and clean. The food was very good as well. We had a great stay during our 11 days there. The only recommendations I would have are more entertainment and a shuttle to Playa. We really missed not going to 5th avenue."
