Black mould - avoid

The location is central but thats were the postives end. My room was atrocious, the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mould and had major water damage, no hot water in shower rusty taps, rusty dity mini fridge, room not properly cleaned. Mould all round the property. It was cheap but I stayed at cheaper places in bali that were much nicer and better maintained.

Great value in Denpasar

I spent two nights here and enjoyed my stay. The location is great as it is very easy to walk to The Bali Museum and the city center. The staff were friendly. The room was large and comfortable. The bed was comfortable for sleeping and it was quiet also. The wifi worked well and the pool and grounds were clean. One can get a breakfast in their restaurant for 50K rp which was fulfilling. I would stay here again and recommend.

Quiet downtown Denpasar experience

Historical property, nice and clean pool, courteous staff, spacious room and functional layout. We wanted to experience ‘real Denpasar life’ so moved here from touristy area but it was very hard for us to find anything to see in the area, bad sidewalks. Ok for a couple days but definitely not ideal for too long unless you’d scooter or drive around. Can improve: a lot of mosquitoes, inner of pillows old and dirty, bathtubs stained and dated

A great historical place to stay in Denpasar.

We loved our stay here. The price was great, buffet breakfast was good, the rooms were clean & housekeeping done daily. The restaurant served delicious meals with awesome prices. The staff were amazing, very friendly & helpful. The location was close to everything. The history of the hotel alone made the stay worthwhile. We would definitely come back & stay again.

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is very quiet and spacious, good breakfast with variety of different food. The shower and fridge are a bit old but considering the price it’s ok. Really good value for money . Would be happy to stay there again.

A great value for a comfortable, friendly hotel.

The Inna Bali Heritage Hotel is a very comfortable, centrally located hotel with a good included breakfast. It may not have it's former luster - but it is a tremendous value and is excellent for those who are out and about or are looking for a place to stay upon arrival at the airport.

Everything was great it is a very large grounds hotel that is just beautiful. Staff very accommodating. Gave us blanket and pool towels. Early breakfast. Pool was beautiful and was just across our room. Good location

even though the pproperty is heritage listed it has character and charm, quietness and the gardens are one of the best I have seen. as for dislikes I don't have any and in due course we will be back for another visit

Good location, if you don't care too be far from b

Central Location

For its price and for closeness to the places I needed to go the Inna was pretty good. It was nice to visit a hotel we had first seen in 1975 when on our honeymoon (when we did a day trip from Padang Bai). It is certainly a heritage hotel but quite nice still. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends only because the hotwater policy is not up to standard. To only have hot water for two two hour periods in a day was a strange experience. I didn't enjoy the cold showers I had.

Historic budget hotel located in middle of city. Bed great and lovely crisp white sheets. Only negative is double check your bar tab when checking out. We had 4 bintangs and one coke and were charged $55. When we queried this bill was then adjusted to $15!

Old but nice

I was told the Inna Bali is the first hotel built in Bali...sounds interesting and with photos of Sukarno and Suharto there makes the ambiance nice and comfortable, coloured with history.

Stayed at the Inna Bali Heritage Hotel 15 to 17 August 2017.No complaints at all.Nice large clean modern room on the edge of a lovely pool.Staff very friendly and helpful. Centrally collocated had a great stay. Should be at least a 4 star hotel..COLIN, Thornlie, WA..

The outside doesn't match the inside

The hotel exterior and common areas are beautiful, but sadly the rooms were not so much. Tired and not very clean, they were more the rooms of a budget hotel. However brilliant area and a nice place to stay overall.

Liveable, but mosquitoes and bugs a killer.

There was a large gap under my door and I fought mosquitos off every nightfall. I was also bitten twice (once on my eyelid) by a spider. A lizard lived in my room and ate into any fruit left. Otherwise, staff were for the most part helpful and friendly, traffic wasn't too noisy and the room wasn't perfect, but still do-able. Also, the hotel holds weddings etc that have very noisy music till late.

Aged local Iconic Hotel

A large establishment in middle of Denpensar. Best known for weddings and conventions. Rooms comfy and clean but aged. Good locasi to galleries etc but little in way of night life for the touristas! A quiet oasis. Pool is cool and all staff very attentive. A few Cafes with western menus and good coffee nearby.

My stay

This place is a little run down but the sheets and towels were clean, the bed was good and the room was big. The bathroom hot water was barely warm. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. There is an onsite 24 hour restaurant with good food at reasonable prices.

Pretty average but not all lost in the end

The first room I was placed in was absolutely terrible. It smelt like feet and was dark and damp. I attempted to air out the room for an hour and it did not improve, so I went to reception and asked to see other rooms. They were all pretty average, with cheap furniture and beds very dissimilar to the photos. I continued to ask to see the room with the four poster bed like the photos, which turned out to be the suite. The suite was vast and in better condition than the standard rooms (as in the cracks in the wall had been patch up rather than left bare). It was also clean enough to sleep in. Unfortunately, the traffic noise was pretty bad in the morning. Overall, we enjoyed the vintage charm of the room to some degree and the staff were eager to accomodate us despite relatively limited facilities. Another plus was the new cafe called Voltvet which had just opened one block down the road (away from the round about). Brilliant coffee and home made pasta. It's a must try.

Excellent hotel in Denpasar

Great value hotel set in a beautiful garden with excellent lobby, restaurant and a magnificent swimming pool. My room is spacious, simply but comfortably furnished with a nice bed, storage spaces, a flat screen TV, a refrigerator. The bathroom is also spacious with sufficient amenities. Both rooms were spotlessly clean. WIFI was available inside the room and was sufficiently fast. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK with enough European and Asian choices. The hotel is close to the Bali Museum, the bird market and the traditional Badung market. The Puputan park is just 100 meters away where Balinese cultural performances take place on Saturday afternoons. A short taxi ride away are the beaches of Sanur, the Renon area with great restaurants and the Monumen Perjuangan. Highly recommended if you want to stay in an authentic Balinese city away from the touristy beach enclaves.

Value for Money

We were looking for a central Denpasar location for a night. I liked the "heritage" look of the place on the website, and wasn't disappointed with it when we stayed there. I thought it was charming, and excellent value for money. Decent breakfast buffet as well. Faded charm perhaps, but by no means shabby. We'll stay there again if/when we go back to Bali.

Stayed overnight only arrived late

Hotel was good value , staff friendly and helpful , reasonable breakfast. Only stayed one night and moved to other areas of Bali.
