"My stay was one of those amazing experiences I may never forget. The room was large, clean, and beautiful. The bar downstairs was friendly and welcoming. Even if I didn't venture out, it would have been a great experience. Yet I did, and so much food and music was within a short walk up the street to Frenchmen St., and of course on Royal St."

"I want to discourage everyone from staying at the Royal Frenchman… in order to keep this place to myself! Don’t stay here if want a modern hotel, with many modern amenities, lacking in character and charm. Don’t stay if colorful staff with a passion for the music of New Orleans ( which they bring nightly to the hotel lobby or courtyard) is not your thing. Don’t stay if listening to music wafting in from Frenchman street late into the night seems annoying. But you have a passion for the people,...

"Excellent stay. The staff is very welcoming and greet you every time they see you. The hotel is very clean and easy to navigate. Very close to everything you need to enjoy NOLA - trains, Bourbon St., Jackson Square, French Market, and a wide choice of great restaurants. Loved the convenience of their mini market that was chargeable to the room, which meant I didn’t have to travel too far for a snack. I would definitely stay here again. "

"This is a magnificent place to stay in New Orleans. I stayed here one for a wedding and since then I don’t look anywhere else for a room if the Frenchmen is available. There’s not much to the place except nice old rooms at a great location. The rooms can feel a bit bare and some fixtures are old but that’s part of the charm for us. Excellent pool and hot tub. Highly recommend. "

"We loved staying in this small hotel just around the corner of Bourbon Street. Nice staff, clean rooms, close to everything. Everything we needed for a few nights in NOLA. The only negative was the adjacent bar closed earlier than stated and loved the atmosphere so looked forward to a night cap there. Ok because plenty of bars around and they have ice down the hall and small refrigerators. Great place for breakfast or coffee on site too!"

"Perfect retreat for my celebration of life trip to NOLA! The Bunk House room is a gem with its unique, solid bunk bed and dreamy wall art creating a magical ambiance. Though not large, the room is thoughtfully organized, feeling spacious and functional. The powerful AC and fan were lifesavers in the heat, and the shower's water pressure was incredible after city explorations. Loved the practical touches - great coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave for storing late-night po' boys from NOLA...
