The location of this hotel was perfect. It was within walking distance of everything (food, shopping, etc..). When we first arrived we noticed a decent sized public parking area right in front of the hotel and a parking area specifically for those staying at the hotel located beside it (it's small but we never had an issue with parking there). We were greeted fairly quickly upon walking into the lobby and the guy (unfortunately I can't remember his name) that greeted us was very kind and informative. I will say (and I'm not sure if it's due to the building being older or what) there was a very odd/bad smell in the lobby area (but it was only in the lobby area so not a huge deal). The hotel was clean and had everything we needed as far as amenities go. Sound does carry more through the walls, but most of those around us seemed to be courteous with noise levels and the hotel has a sign posted about that in the elevator so you're aware. The elevator inspection was expired (about 2 months expired) so they should definitely get that situated as soon as possible for the safety of the guests. Overall I do highly recommend staying here, as it's a beautiful building, had friendly staff, and is a perfect location for staying in Dahlonega.
