The location is on a very busy side street that doesn’t make it easy to get on and out. All in all, I wouldn’t stay there again. "

"I highly recommend a stay here. These are quiet and comfortable family-owned rooms set in Piano di Sorrento (about 4 km from the centre of Sorrento). It is a 6-minute walk from Piano train station. It has a large swimming pool set in a large garden with good parking. There is a small number of staff, so you will have to plan your needs. "Breakfast was great - lovely selection of fruits, cakes, breads, meat etc and there was a hot menu option which was cooked fresh on request. Accommodation is set on a lemon orchard so beautiful surroundings! The room was spacious and clean and the spa bath was a lovely addition! The only negative comment really is that the rooms are right next to the kitchen / public restaurant and our window opened up right next to the public restaurant and toilet so we could get no privacy if we had window...

"We stayed for 3 nights in May while visiting Italy. I can't say enough positive things about the Ara Maris. We were in a room overlooking the rear pool/garden with a private hot tub. We did not miss viewing the sea as we'd seen it throughout the day. The room was spacious and we especially appreciated the double sinks and the separate water closet. "What can I say! An absolute delightful place to stay, probably the best hotel i've ever stayed at. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and everyone was super friendly and the room views were stunning. The facilities were 10/10 from the breakfast,pool,rooftop bar, Spa and the list goes on. "BEST stay in Italy! LOVED everything about this reasonably priced hotel! The golf cart shuttle to Piazza Tasso, the lovely garden & small pool, the fresh breakfast every morning that is included. Quiet & quaint little town 10 mins away from the main square. We stayed in the bunk beds and they were SO comfortable and wide and the bathroom was very large and we had an amazing view out of our window!"
