"This is an excellent place to stay in Sorrento. The location is perfect in the Palazzo Tesso where you can easily go to all the restaurants, shops, and Port to catch a ferry to Capri easily. "Lovely hotel, amazing views, manicured gardens, excellent staff, (Carmen, Martina, Connie, Gaetano, Valentina, Laura, Roberta to mention but a few) good spa. However, there were 2 major issues which were not in keeping with a 5* at this price point: 1) there is a huge unattached manhole on the road in front of the hotel which makes a racket every time a car drives over it and keeps you up at night through the night; 2) a horrible drain stench from the toilet / bidet in the rooms. "We were very pleased with our accommodations. The staff was quick to respond to our needs prior to checking in. However, the staff is not at the reception desk at all times and only when you make prior appointment to meet them. The apartment is very updated and met all of our needs, however the WALLS are paper thin and you can definitely hear your neighbors breathing (not exaggerating). We lost couple of nights sleep because of the noise. Location is wonderful and adjacent to the train station...

"Antiche Mura is an Italian gem. It had the Italian flair we were looking for with Italian ambiance and structures in the room. The staff made such a huge difference in this place. They were always so warm and friendly willing to make your stay special and provides to what your requests are. The breakfast was delicious. They change the pastry selection daily and they were all superb. It isn’t a huge selection but it is enough to fuel your day. Overall, we had a great stay and wish we were there...
