"No parking as advertised. Staff were very casual - often sat on their phones on the sofa round the corner from the front desk. There was nowhere to hang the shower hose. It was just loose over the bath. They did fix it once I told them, but I would've expected it to have been addressed before my arrival. "Staff were lovely, as was breakfast and the bar. But the rooms and decor are the key feature of this hotel and certainly make it unforgettable. Our room and bathroom were not huge but more than adequate and comfortable. The theming of the rooms, corridors, stairways and bar area is amazing, thoughtful, creative and makes this hotel worth a stay for sure, as does the cheeky nature and sense of humour. "The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms well presented and clean. Excellent choice of breakfast menu, served well presented and some different options to chose from. The only downside to this property is the parking as it does not have its own spaces and parking in Brighton is not easy due to all the new road changes taking place. The hotel is situated on a quiet square with a public garden. Just a short walk to the beach and town amenities."

I was then offered to upgrade to a room with a king bed (which i had already booked) for an additional £20.
