"Our stay at the Royal Horseguards Hotel was excellent. It is a very nice hotel, traditional look, great location. I want to give a 5 star rating, however, the beginning and end of our stay could have been better. My wife and I were celebrating our 50th anniversary and I asked hotel rep (Yanet) if a complimentary upgrade or breakfast or special touch to the room could be accommodated. Rep stated hotel would do everything to make our 50th memorable. Unfortunately, all was forgotten and nothing was done. I booked a deluxe King room with a garden view and that was very nice. Nice tub, but a walk-in shower would have been a plus. Check-in went smoothly, representative was helpful. The bell men were exceptional. Housekeeping did a great job. We went to breakfast one day and it was very good. The complimentary mini fridge contents was a great amenity. The morning of checkout (530am) I was shocked to find that my rooms booked were charged for breakfast each day. We ate breakfast one day and paid the restaurant directly. I attempted to have the charges removed, but hotel management wanted to verify my statement with the restaurant before completing my checkout. I was traveling that day, but I did receive an email from Adam to let me know that breakfast charges would not show on my bill. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, hotel, staff and amenities were excellent. We will be visiting London again next October and hope to return. I do recommend a stay at this fine hotel!"

"We opted for a standard room with a view of Tower Bridge. I loved that view and took so many photos at different times of the day. You can see the Shard too. Next time I would opt for a renovated room with view. Our room was showing its age, not in a run down way but I think it was original to the 1970’s. I would prefer a refreshed room. We had lunch on the terrace of the Vicinity restaurant, the weather was perfect, the service was good, and of course the view. We also had dinner there, again the view. The menu was not innovative. We had the steak and ale pie, which was good, but the night before we had eaten in a restaurant with a very creative menu."

"Conveniently located to major attractions, short walking distance to the Waterloo Station, lots of amenities within minutes of walking. The room was very well appointed and extremely clean, staff were professional and always eager to help and answer questions, even though the hotel was on a busy street I found the room was able to block out almost all of the traffic noise and made it pleasant to sleep at night. I definitely will stay again!"
