The hotel knew that I was a female travelling on own and had many couples and families staying, yet no accommodation made for this. They also knew this wasn't ideal as they apologised. To be fair on the staff they offered free parking overnight as a result, however not ideal given reports in the media this week about single female staying in another hotel chain. "A classic country pub with new upmarket bedrooms that impressed. The breakfast in the bar was good although my brown toast was dry and burnt. For the money it is good value and the bedrooms are the best aspect. "

"Room was spacious, lovely freestanding bath, large shower room, comfy bed but would have liked feather pillow choice. Room clean but dust in places especially breakfast room fireplace and not open on a sunday evening. Had pancakes for breakfast 1st morning, beautiful crepes & hot runny syrup, ordered the 2nd day and got thick undercooked American pancakes with thick syrup, left unimpressed. "

"Overall cleanliness was OK. The bathroom looked newly refurbished, however the shower caddy was rusty and the soap dispensers were empty. No parking but there is a car park behind the hotel, also from the road isn’t easy to spot as it looks like a restaurant from the front. Breakfast was OK, one choice of coffee only included in the price. Overall the hotel is clean and comfortable. "

It is also very confusing, having arrived late and being unaware of the parking charges I am waiting to hear from the parking vendor about the late parking charges. It is only for the confusing and expensive parking charges that we won’t be staying here again. "
