Very convenient location. Friendly staff especially Rita in reception who was exceptionally helpful. Lovely roof terrace for dining and food very good. Very nice room with small balcony overlooking street below.

The staff at Palace Catania were excellent, they suggested a great walking tour, places to eat and were very helpful. The staff went out of their way to provide assistance in every way. The location perfect to see everything that Catania had to offer. The food at the rooftop restaurant was good and the view was incredible. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel was well updated and felt more like a boutique hotel.

Centrally located, lovely hotel easily accommodated our friend group for several days. Highlights included lunch on the roof with rooftops and Mt. Etna on full display. Lovely breakfast and fun bar. The rooms are modern and clean. If you are meeting a guide or a driver, you have a short one to two block walk to meeting points. Pedestrians stroll in the evenings along the main drag. If you want to experience Catania, this is a great hotel to do so.

Other than price point (which is relative) and cleanliness which is not negotiable, the staff makes the difference at a hotel. This place is wonderful. Daesy at the front desk is especially helpful and pleasant. They all have great suggestions and are just warm and make you feel that they care about their guests. I highly recommend. The rooms are quiet and the streets are bustling with activities.

The staff was very pleasant and easy to chat with upon arrival. Our Italian is minimal and they were gracious working with the language barrier and spoke English very well. The hostess showed us to our room and then the rooftop bar for a complimentary Prosecco! The room was clean and spacious and our view was pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

Never staying here again. Hot, no sleep, and flies. Contrary to the ammenities description, there is no A/C in the room (no cooling in the winter) so the room was ~25 C (78 F) and too hot for us to sleep comfortably. The staff advised us to open the window, resulting in ~50 flies entering the room. Se we got zero sleep and a lot of bug bites. Hopefully we don’t get sick. Adding insult to injury, we were offered a paltry $50 discount on our bill for these inconveniences, specifically in return for

Have stayed several times here. Location, staff and room is great. BUT, this stay we found that the site apparently turns off the air at some point in the season, not considering at all it might still be warm. Our nice room was unbearable for the entire stay. Either sweat all night or open the patio door to invite biting insects in to attack you. Would stay here again, but only after inquiring if their air was operational.

This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in very spacious room great location and the staff were outstanding. The location was walkable to the piazza and of course shopping mall across the street was handy. The bed was firm and large and we had a small balcony. Valet parking is available the roof top patio was great

Perfect
Very central, close to all the main attractions and restaurants. Great views from our balcony to Mt Etna and the main road, Large comfortable room and the bathroom was clean and had everything you would need. Beautiful views from the rooftop bar and restaurant, breakfast buffet I could not fault and Rossella was very helpful Highly recommend it

Beware of billing problems
Room was nice as expected and location was great right on Main Street. We have stayed there before. This time we were double billed for our one night stay, immediately filed a complaint on their “complaint” site, referred me to the hotel manager for resolution and credit back. Still waiting to hear. This was three days ago. These kinds of transactional problems should be easily resolved in a short time.

On our trip we stayed in 5 places and Palace Catania was definitely our favorite hotel. From before my stay, I had communicated with Rita from the hotel who was always very responsive and I was so happy to meet her in person as she was warm and friendly, making us feel comfortable from the start. The rooms are spacious, clean and have character! The continental breakfast was absolutely perfect offering the right assortment of breakfast goods to start our day off. Ornella arranges the displays and does such a beautiful job. Grazie! The rooftop of course is lovely and we enjoyed drinks there with a beautiful view of Catania. Overall the location is perfect - walkable to many key locations and super close to an assortment of great restaurants (2 min walk!) We will definitely return to Catania to stay at this hotel.
