"Overall the hotel is average. Rooms are small and we could not walk around our room without ducking on the 4th floor due to the walls sloping inward. Additionally, the cable tv barely worked and the tv would go in and out. When you walk into the building we stayed in, you have to take a stairway up to the first floor to get on an elevator. There was a funky smell to the building. A little like sewage or a dead animal, we aren’t sure. The positives were that the room and bathroom were updated and clean. Location is decent. "

"The location was great. The staff were helpful. I couldn't enjoy the breakfast because it didn't open early enough. 7:30 was too late. The only negative was that my room had an unpleasant odour."

"Great stay at a beautiful property in the center of Alfama. The beautifully appointed room with a view of the river, the courtyard, restaurant space with delicious morning breakfast, snacks and access to coffee and tea and water all day were absolute highlights for my stay. The street noise can be an issue especially during the day, but that seems to be a reflection of the busy location and central to all the beautiful vistas in Alfama. Loved my solo stay at the hotel and would return again!"
