"This is just the sweetest place, nestled into a cliffside, south of Big Sur. Miles from any amenities, and with no one to greet you when you arrive, the owners nevertheless make checking in a breeze and even have the wit to provide an extra key in the lockbox in case you lock yourself out. In the morning, a "breakfast nook" opens at 8:30am so you can have a muffin and fruit and juice with the coffee you've made in the room.
