"The hotel is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the breakfast frankly superb. I would have rated 5 stars, but the beds' mattress was way too firm for our liking, uncomfortable and made it impossible to get an uninterrupted nights' sleep. "

"The setting of the hotel is unique that perhaps intends to present the classic setup of a Hungarian hotel. But, some furniture in the room appears too old and warn off. The staff and service persons are very friendly and helpful. Overall, I felt at home in the hotel environment."

"Great location for transport and near NY Cafe. Loved the historic building and cute room, but a shame that 'courtyard' rooms overlook an unattractive roof addition, not really a courtyard. At first we had a room with a single window overlooking a shelf of gravel but manager kindly moved us to a slightly better room with a double window overlooking the roof. In the new room, beds were far too soft and sloping, and pillows far too large for comfort, which we didn't realize until bedtime and did...

"The service from the entire staff was exceptional. When we encountered a mechanical issue with our room, Juhasz Virag the guest manager upgraded our room, comped breakfast, gave us a departure box of chocolates and had the kitchen prepare a snack for our flight. She went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. We travel the world staying in the finest hotels and this hotel and service ranks up there with the best. We also took advantage of the spa including massages. Leona in the spa...

"Nice and quiet also not far from river and easy walking to all the attractions in the area. Also the local very friendly gay bar is around the corner 3min walk. Breakfast was good no complaints."

"The location was great, which was most important for me. From desk was helpful. Rooms are a bit dated, and my toilet would often run (drip, drip, drip). I was there off season, and price was reasonable. I would stay there again if back in Budapest. "
