The Tower Hotel, by Thistle

"Great location very close to the Tower of London and reasonably close to the Tower Hill tube station. The room, 852 needs cosmetic updating and no direct plugs available for electronic devices. The room view was of the St. Katherine Docks with nice walk areas around the docks. The only minus was the lack of A/C but a fan was provided which made the space comfortable even with temperatures in London higher than is normal for July."

"The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. The air conditioning was very easy to control and efficent. I did not take breakfast but did have the famous cream tea and it was spectacular."

"Excellently value for money. Quadruple room for family 4 adults more than spacious. Free ferry a bonus. Canary Wharf on other side loads to do or onwards underground. Games room, bar and outdoor drinking area. Breakfast so/so but only ยฃ13 each. Tescos just outside and a great coffee shop at The Barn city farm 5 mins walk away"
